One of them days

Tomorrow is back to work for the week, kind of really missing having my Senior around as he's a really approachable kind of guy. In other news, on a recent trundle about the internets I found these awesome photos taken of Mount St. Helens (taken 30 years ago) during her 'troublesome' era.

She really is a troublesome lady, the photos taken are fantastic and really do justice to the power that lies hidden deep beneath the mantle of our planet.

When I was younger I used to lie on the living room floor by the patio doors and just read through mum's books about volcanos and all the different types of rock created naturally on this planet. Nature always never ceases to amaze me with what it can do, produce or work around to carry on with it's creation.

I used to want to be Geologist and just look at rock allll day long, that soon progressed to the want to be an Archeologist, but that was down to Jurassic Park.

Get that pyroclastic plume, it's awesome. Just waiting for the atmosphere to give in and all the ash to plummet down aided by gravity as a pyroclastic flow, knocking down anything in it's way.

In other news I saw on the Gate Cinema website that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 1) is to be released over here on the 19th November. I'm a total closet Harry Potter fan and a total book worm, didn't take me too long to work my way though the books and then started the films. When it was first released I honestly didn't see what the hype was all about, completely disregarded it and it wasn't until mum threw one of the books at me that I became hooked.

The whole eating healthily is coming along nicely this weekend, no blips and I've found some nice things to nibble on. Off to make some dinner as I'm famished!

  1. Glad to hear the weekend went smoothly ^_^ Digging the closet Harry Potter joy, I too try to keep that one on the down low, can't wait to see the next film! Isn't it meant to be the second part of the last one though? As the last one released kind of stopped half way through the story line and was meant TBC? Is that the one you're talking about? Fingers crossed XD

  2. Oooh! Another fan, the last one was The Half Blood Prince. This one (the soon to be released) will be the first half of the 'Deathly Hallows' apparently they just couldn't condense the book down to one film which I'm looking forward too! Rob's already promised to take me as a treat ^.^
